Limoilou Parish

Located in the Lower Town’s Limoilou area – the most densely populated of Québec City –this parish enjoys a particular kind of community dynamic, where mutual aid is a local feature. Positively shaped by immigration, the population includes more than 40 nationalities in three sectors: Maizerets (church of St-Pascal), Lairet (church of St-Albert) and Vieux-Limoilou (church of St-Fidèle). Pastoral life set in with developments for each of the sectors and a specific approach for an intercultural project, family pastoral activities and special concern for young adults, who represent the renewal of the population. The dynamic character of the Société de Développement Commercial de la 3ème avenue, known throughout the region of Québec City, inspired the shrine of Notre-Dame-de-Rocamadour to promote local purchasing and support community enterprises in its souvenir shop.
